Can I bring my dog to Teals Somerset?
We don’t allow dogs inside, however, we do have designated outdoor areas that are dog friendly. Feel free to enjoy our food to go offering in these spaces.
Many of our local guests walk to us with their four-legged friends and we’re also keen to ensure those travelling through have somewhere safe to water and exercise all members of the family. When you arrive you’ll see a large field sign-posted ‘Dog Jog,’ to the left of the store as you look from the car park. Please be considerate of other dog owners when walking your pooches. We also welcome and have provided dog rings in the front and rear courtyards.
There are a couple of areas we like to keep dog-free on health grounds. The orchard is often used in spring by families who pick up picnics from us (poo and sarnies don’t mix well) and the store itself is dog-free. Some guests find it unusual that we do not allow dogs inside and we appreciate this can appear to be a restraint. However, our experience is that some dogs do not mix well and others can upset young children. We are also keen to ensure that guests with serious allergies do not feel in any way unsafe when with us.
Should you have any questions please do email or call us and we’ll be happy to explain further.
